Apply for a Museum or Library National Service Award
The 2004 competition for the IMLS' National Awards for Museum and Library
Service is underway. These awards are the nation's highest honors for the
extraordinary public service provided by museums and libraries and they now
carry a $10,000 award. 

These prestigious awards recognize museums and libraries that have a
positive impact on community life. Recipients demonstrate long-term, ongoing
commitment to public service through innovative programs and community
partnerships. Any individual may submit an application, and museums and
libraries of all sizes are encouraged to apply. The IMLS Web site has more
information about the awards, including qualifications, criteria, details on
