With the State Library and the Diversity Committee, Clark County Public =
Library and New Carlisle Public Library have made great strides in =
promoting library services to Hispanic/Latino communities in their =
county.  Diversity Committee member Maggie Bollar has been instrumental =

Join us for our Celebraci=F3n Latina! We will have live music, food, =
storytimes in Spanish, a film in Spanish and English, and a =

Diego Morales, a Hastings Middle School student in Upper Arlington, has =
chosen to complete his community service requirements through the State =
Library of Ohio.  Diego will help the State Library participate in the =
D=EDa de los Ni=F1os (Day of the Child) festival on April 30th at the =
Westland Mall in Columbus.  He will prepare colorful crepe paper and =
straw streamers representing Central and South American flags for =
children to assemble at the festival.  He will also assist Jan Haines, =
State Library Consultant and Kristin Shelley, Manager of Hilltop Branch =
(Columbus Metropolitan Library) at the celebration where both libraries =
will have booths for children to listen to stories and make take-home =
crafts.  Jan and Kristin are both members of the Diversity Committee.
