Web-based workshop.

Register at anytime to work at your own pace during 2005.
Registrants will receive a certificate confirming 6 hours of 
continuing education contact hours on completion of this workshop.

This Web-based workshop involves individually paced Web-based work in 
consultation with the
teacher and other students through the Web and e-mail.

Overview

This hands-on workshop will teach you about copyright guidelines and 
Web etiquette; to understand which graphics and multi-media files may 
be copied freely and which may require licensing, fee, or other 
agreement for use.¬Ý You will learn to find graphics and multi-media 
files on the web and use them to add style to your own Web pages and 
print publications! You'll learn about and visit graphics and 
multi-media, search tools, mega-sites and archives.¬Ý You'll also 
learn¬Ý about downloading and using graphics software (software that 
offers a free demo) to edit and create Web graphics.

Audience

This workshop is for anyone who needs to find, legally, and ethically 
use pictures/graphics available on the Web or to assist someone one 
else in finding and ethically using pictures/graphics on the Web.

Participants should know how to use e-mail and a current standard Web 
Browser, e.g.,Mozilla/Firebird, Netscape 7.0 or IE 5.5 or higher is 
preferred.

Materials

All materials will be online on interactive Web pages.

Mechanisms for Instruction

Participants will interact through e-mail with the instructors before 
and after the workshop.

Participants will complete hands-on Web-based activities at their own 
pace  with the guidance
and in consultation with the teacher.
