[OPLINLIST] request for name of musical artist

Hello everyone,

 

One of our patrons is interested in finding the artist who sang a song
called "Johnny Settled Down."  She thinks the song was from the 1960's.

 

Here are some of the lyrics she remembers-

 

Johnny was a wild, wild boy who never settled down.  He always looked so
happy.  He never wore a frown.  

 

Later in the song the singer talks-

 

I found my Johnny in the wreck.  His car was 'round a tree.
