Storytelling at Its Best

Storytelling is a skill that grows over time. Learning from expert
storytellers is one way to deepen your skills and those of your staff.
CAMLS is hosting a Storytelling at Its Best workshop on February 28, 2006 at
the Cuyahoga County Public Library. Storyteller Mary Hamilton will spend
the morning session on tales that evoke greater audience participation. The
afternoon will focus on honing your storytelling skills. When Ms. Hamilton
tells stories, she creates a new world for listeners. She does not just
"talk" a story -- she uses her voice as well as her body. Audiences watch,
listen, and imagine. Incorporate this magic into your storytelling and give
yourself and your staff the opportunity to learn from an inspiring expert.
The more we experience the talent and skills of others, the more confident
and versatile we become.
