This week, OPLIN staff will be making some changes to the OPLIN
database pages. This is in preparation for the end of the fiscal year
on Friday.

As previously announced, statewide access to SIRS Discoverer will be
discontinued. Those libraries who selected Discoverer as an optional
database on the OPLIN Group Contracts Form
will continue to get access. There will be an announcement about the
optional databases later this week, but they should be working for you
by next week when the contracts begin. (Participating libraries will
be invoiced later this summer).

If your library has not elected to continue subscribing to Discoverer,
you might want to link to Kids Search (www.oplin.org/kids) or Student
Research Center (www.oplin.org/student).

The new health database -- Consumer Health Complete -- is now
available. You can link to it at www.oplin.org/health. This week, we
will be adding it to the list of available databases. At
the same time, we will be removing the separate links to Health Source
- Consumer Edition, Health Source - Nursing/Academic Edition, Alt
Healthwatch, Clinical Pharmacology, and MEDLINE. (These resources
will still be accessible directly from the generic EBSCO search
interface, but for health reference, I think we will want to steer
people to the new, more comprehensive and user-friendly Consumer
Health Complete).

If you have any questions about the changes, please feel free to contact me.

Your most humble and obedient servant,

                                  Don Yarman
