Readers' Advisory: The Next Chapter

Most of us know how to conduct a good reference interview, but are we as
comfortable with readers' advisory interviews? Traditional readers'
advisory services have focused almost exclusively on fiction, but what
about non-fiction? What happens to the dynamic when the patron asks for
services via your website or library blog? How do you provide good
readers' advisory in an online environment? Wendy will review current
trends in readers' advisory, provide tips on how to use online resources
for staff training and as a patron tool, and take a look at genres,
including non-fiction that reads like fiction and memoirs.
