Plan for your library to become more connected to the Spanish-speaking
community.

 

Between March and May 2007, The State Library of Ohio is offering
one-day workshops on best practices for reaching out to and serving
Spanish speaking populations.  The workshops will include panels of
Spanish speaking community leaders, and are for any library employee who
is interested in how to serve the Spanish speaking community.

 

What will I learn?

 

*	Skills and techniques to increase awareness and use of local
library services to your Spanish speaking community

 

*	Methods to increase partnerships between your library and
community organizations that service Spanish speaking residents. 

 

*	Awareness of cultural and diversity issues

 

*	How to develop an action plan for reaching out to Spanish
speaking community members
