Hello Children's and Young Adult Librarians:
Kathy Halsey, OELMA 2007 Conference Chair and Buckeye Children's Book
Award Council Member, sent the following announcement:
Drum roll, please... the children and teenagers of Ohio have spoken and
delivered their pronouncement of the best books for their age groups.
The 2007 Buckeye Children's Book Award winners are:
K-2: Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude by Kevin O'Malley
3-5: Stink: The Incredible Shrinking Kid by Megan McDonald
6-8: Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Buckeye Teen Award: Eldest by Christopher Paolini
The Buckeye Children's Book Award would like to thank all the librarians
and students who promoted pleasurable reading and this Ohio award.
Awards will be given at the Ohio Educational Library Media Association
(OELMA) fall conference with winner Kevin O'Malley as the Friday
