Sustaining Community Access Computing: Planning, Resources, and Tools
The curriculum is designed to assist small and rural public library
staff in the development of public access computing sustainability
strategies in such areas as technology maintenance and planning,
outreach, funding, training and support, promotion and collaboration.
Participants will also learn about the resources, information network
and learning opportunities available to them on WebJunction
<http://www.webjunction.org/do/Home;jsessionid=CF6D3F75D306B6D52170BC645504381F>.
Finally, workshops provide a forum for rural library staff to share and
connect with one another.
At the end of the day participants will return to their library with
ideas and action plans that will assist them in connecting with the
community and being a more effective advocate for the library. Come
prepared for lots of hands-on work and plenty of discussion.
/This 1/2 day workshop will be held in various locations around the
state, and a listing of all locations may be found on the Continuing
Education website
