The Southeast Regional Library System (SERLS) invites you to attend.

 

Mock Caldecott 2008 Election

 

Presenter Dr. Carolyn S. Brodie, Kent State University Professor, School of
Library and Information Science, teaches courses on youth services at Kent
and was a member of the 2007 Caldecott Committee. Come get an "inside" look
at what it is like to serve on this prestigious committee, and also what
some of her favorite picture books are for the year. Participants will have
the opportunity to read and evaluate the illustrations of some of the most
distinguished picture books published in 2007, and participate in an
election to decide SERLS' winners! This is one workshop no youth services
staff will want to miss! This workshop counts as 4 hours toward OLC
certification. Light morning refreshment included. Lunch is on your own. 

Dates and Locations: 

December 5th: SEO Library Center, Caldwell.

December 6th: SERLS Office, Wellston

Time: 

10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

Cost:

Free to staff from libraries who are contributing members of SERLS, SWON,
NEO-RLS or NORWELD Regional Library Systems. 

$60 for all others.
