This is an introductory course for cataloging staff that have little or no
experience with the OCLC Connexion Client. This workshop will cover the
basic functionality of the client, including setup, customization, and
cataloging workflow processes.

Library of Congress Workshop: Integrating Resources Cataloging

This Library of Congress workshop is based on the revised chapters 9 and 12
of AACR2 and covers all integrating resources, with an emphasis on
electronic resources. The workshop covers the new rules that have been added
to these chapters and will be provide timely guidance to monograph, serials,
and electronic resource catalogers who may be responsible for cataloging
them. The session includes: 

*	An introduction to integrating resources and their identification. 
*	Instructions for cataloging updating Web sites, databases, and
loose-leafs. 
*	Making changes to records. 
*	Case studies and more difficult aspects of cataloging electronic
integrating resources. 
*	Resource selection and options for access.

The Future of Technical Services

What will your library's technical services department look like in the next
5 to 10 years? What roles will technical services play in the evolution of
21st century library services? As roles change, technical services
departments will need to adjust to fit those new roles. This session will
make attendees keenly aware of coming trends so that they can prepare
accordingly to face upcoming challenges and continue to provide quality
