[OPLINLIST] 2009 Ohio Summer Food Service Program

The partnership of the Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Governor's
Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and the Children's
Hunger Alliance are working together to ensure that all kids have access
to nutritious meals all year long.  This group recruits schools,
community groups, and faith-based organizations to serve as sponsors
and/or sites of the Summer Food Service Program in Ohio.  The U.S. Dept.
of Agricultures' Summer Food Service Program is the single largest
federal resource available for local sponsors who want to combine a
feeding program with a summer activity program.  Libraries are eligible
to participate in the SFSP as a sponsor or site to provide snacks and/or
nutritious meals during library programs.  Ten regional meetings are
being held across Ohio to let agencies learn more about options for
summer programs and how to receive funding support for these programs.
