Morning Session: 9:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. Too Many Things to Buy, Not Enough
Time or Money?
The challenges of collection development can be overwhelming. Are you
keeping up with new material types, purchasing sufficient copies and filling
the gaps in your collection? This workshop offers a practical approach to
allocating a collection development budget, setting up an efficient ordering
schedule and other tips to save time & money. Workshop will be presented by
Ryan McDonnell, Director, Marysville Public Library.

Afternoon Session: 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. Better Weeders Attract More Readers:
Is weeding really necessary? Will anyone really notice the difference if it
isn't done? Isn't it just a subjective process without any rhyme or reason?
Yes, yes, and NO! This workshop explores the straightforward guidelines
recommended in the CREW Method, a nationally recognized tool for intelligent
de-selection.Presented by Belinda Boon, Assistant Professor, KSU.
