Greetings!

There is still time for you or a fellow staff member to register for
OHIONET's Fundamentals of Cataloging: Description. With a NEW Curriculum and
NEW Instructor for 2009, the Fundamentals of Cataloging series could be just
the jump-start your technical services department needs! This series covers
the basics of cataloging in five sessions. You can attend all the sessions
or only the ones of interest. In the first session, we will cover
descriptive cataloging. Learn about the principles, rules and tools for
bibliographic records that describes the material in hand. We will cover
creating entries for author, title, publication information, physical
description, series, and other aspects of a complete bibliographic
description.

Instructor: Magda El-Sherbini, Cataloging Department Head at The Ohio State
University Libraries

When: Thursday, January 29th, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cost: $80 (members); $120 (non-members)
