Hello IT Staff and other Librarians,

 

Some of you have asked before to share the responses I get regards VoIP, so
here is the summary

 

*	Most libraries used VoIP it works fine for them for so many years
without any problems.
*	Some libraries have managed service from the local telephone
company.
*	Most libraries are using Cisco and NEC hardware equipment.
*	If you do go with VoIP make sure the system switches automatically
to grab a POTS line in the event of a power failure.
*	Make sure to have a battery backup for the VoIP system in place.
