Please excuse multiple postings.

The Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), developer of the
statewide/national Summer Reading Program theme and materials, has just
published an Early Literacy Program Resources manual incorporating the
2010 "Make a Splash - Read" theme and the six early literacy skills.

This manual is available for free download by any staff member in any
public library in Ohio.

However, you must create an account for yourself on the CSLP website
before downloading. If you don't yet have an account with CSLP and are
involved with your library's Summer Reading Program, it's a good idea to
register with CSLP anyway. Many helpful resources for your SRP are
available on members-only sections of the CSLP website. Go to
http://www.cslpreads.org/ and click on "Create Account".

After creating your account and/or logging on, go to "Learning Tools" ->
"Family Literacy" -> "Early Literacy" and click on "Early Literacy
Resource" to download the manual.

This manual was made possible by: Michelle Willis at the Scotch Plains
Library in New Jersey, who proposed the idea, compiled and edited the
manual, and contributors Marsha Murphy, Karen Randleman and Alison
Santos.

Sincerely,
Janet
