Library/Organization:  Swanton Public Library

Salary Range:               $35,000 - $50,000

Requirements:
The Swanton Public Library is seeking an 
energetic, service-oriented leader to become the 
next Library Director. The successful applicant 
will demonstrate leadership, excellent people 
skills, the ability to work with staff and 
patrons, experience meeting the challenges of a 
rural community, and a vision of what libraries 
can mean to their communities. The willingness to 
be active in the community is essential.
The Swanton School District Public Library is 
located in the Village of Swanton and serves 
patrons in a rural community of about 14,000 in 
Fulton and Lucas counties.  The library enjoys 
strong community support and employs a dedicated 
staff committed to providing excellent 
service.  The library has an annual budget of $400,000.00.

Qualifications:
·        MLS from an ALA accredited program with 
three (3) years of progressive supervisory experience, OR
·        Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five 
(5) consecutive years of public library 
experience at manager or director level which has 
included three (3) years of direct supervision of staff.
