INFOhio, Ohio's K-12 information network, is offering a free webinar
targeted toward public library staff. INFOhio encourages public
librarians to explore and use the professional development and CE
resources on INFOhio's website (http://www.infohio.org/) and especially
the 21st Century Learning Commons (http://learningcommons.infohio.org/).

This webinar will alert you to tools you can use, at your convenience,
to increase your knowledge of digital innovations and educational
technology. Don't think INFOhio is "just" school library catalogs and
licensed databases. And don't think it's "just" for teachers and school
librarians. Public and school librarians can all benefit ourselves -
and especially our children and teens - by collaborating and by learning
more about each other's resources.

Also, a few days ago, Stephen Hedges forwarded to this list the
announcement of Go! INFOhio (http://go.infohio.org), a very handy new
resource for 6th-12th graders that breaks the research process down into
three major phases. You'll learn more about Go! INFOhio at the March 1
webinar.

INFOhio, the information network for Ohio schools, has created the 21st
Century Learning Commons as a place to learn and share 21st century
learning resources and practice ideas. Join us for a virtual tour of the
INFOhio Learning Commons which includes 21 Essential Things, a series of
self-directed tutorials for Ohio librarians to explore and engage in
second-generation Internet technologies (Web 2.0, such as social
networking, wikis, video, podcasting and gaming sites) that are bringing
students in touch with the world. At the end of the webinar, learn how
you can participate in a Knowledge Building Community to share your
learning.

INFOhio webinars are free. Session resources for this webinar will be
available at http://www.infohio.org/Educator/Webinars2011-2012.html, the
same location for the webinar recording when it is available.
