Porter Library in Westlake, Ohio also proctors. As for the crazy demands the schools and universities beginning to make... I write on the form that I will not submit my social security number, etc. I have yet to have a school email back and state that neither I nor Porter Library is not an approved site. If the proctoring demands are not reasonable, tell the school want you will do and let them decide.
I agree that helping students to complete their degree falls in the scope of a public library's mission. We do not charge for the service.

With a nearby library canceling their proctoring service, we've received more requests than ever. I'm just wondering how other libraries handle the situation. My board would also like to know if there are any libraries who charge either the universities or the students for this service? Vicki -- J. Victoria Eckenrod, Director Galion Public Library 123 N.
