New York Times best-selling novelist Wanda Brunstetter will be visiting the
New Philadelphia location of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System on
Thursday, September 27 at 7PM. Her visit marks the third and final
installment in the library's 2012 Author Series. 

 

Brunstetter is the author of over 60 novels, including The Journey (2011),
Love Finds a Home (2011), The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club (2012), and
The Struggle, which debuted at #24 on the New York Times best-seller list in
July. Her most recent title, Amish White Christmas Pie, was released on
September 1. 

 

More than six million copies of Brunstetter's books have sold worldwide. Her
works have been translated into four languages. 

 

Brunstetter herself is considered a nationally recognized expert on the
Amish community and one of the founders of the Amish fiction genre. Her
fascination with Amish culture began shortly after she married her husband,
Richard, who grew up in a Mennonite church and whose family has a
Pennsylvania Dutch heritage. Brunstetter's novels are also popular among
Amish readers, who frequently credit her for giving non-Amish readers a
deeper, more accurate understanding of their lifestyle and customs.  

 

Copies of The Struggle, The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club, and Amish
White Christmas Pie will be available for purchase at the event. Brunstetter
will conduct a book signing once her presentation concludes. 

 

Admission to the program is free. Registration is required by calling
330-364-4474 ext. 101. 

 

The New Philadelphia location of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System
is located at 121 Fair Avenue NW.
