The Board of Trustees of the Bucyrus Public Library seeks an energetic and community-oriented individual to serve as Library Director. 

Are you highly motivated to work in a team environment with a diverse staff of dedicated and talented employees?  The successful 
candidate will employ a leadership and management style that values and contributes to effective relationships.  The ideal candidate 
must be an excellent communicator, be responsive to the changing needs of the community, and exhibit an aptitude for fundraising 
including the possibility of a future levy campaign. The director manages a staff of 10 employees (3 full-time) with an annual 
operating budget of $560,000. The director oversees the Library’s annual operating budget, supervises staff, plans efficient delivery 
of quality services, and maintains operations. In addition to ensuring efficient operation of the library, the director is responsible 
for working in conjunction with the Board of Trustees to provide leadership in determining the mission of the library and evaluating 
progress toward annual goals and long-range planning to meet identified needs. Relocation to Crawford County is desirable.

Qualifications: A combination of education, training, business and leadership experience with a passion for library and community 
service.

Salary & Benefits: $45-53,000; Membership in OLC; Medical, dental, and vision coverage with sick leave benefits. Vacation package 
negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
