Youth Services Coordinator



This full-time (35 hours per week) position at the Main Library includes day, evening, and weekend hours. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, coordination of pre-school and children's programming; selection of new materials and weeding of collection; selection, training and supervision of 3 part-time employees; visitation of pre-schools and schools; and coordination of readers advisory services.



Position reports to Library Director. Minimum starting salary $12.41 per hour.  Actual starting salary dependent upon education and experience. Very good fringe benefit plan.  College graduate preferred, with Masters of Library Science or equivalent degree from ALA accredited program desirable.  Must have completed some college courses.  At least one year experience working with children's services and literature required. May require some travel.  Must have computer knowledge and skills.
