*Library salutes the season with SpringFest*

After presentations by well-known authors Philip Gulley and Tracie 
Peterson, "The I's Have It: Inspired, Imagined & Illuminated," the 10^th 
annual Spring Literary Arts Festival sponsored by the Herbert Wescoat 
Memorial Library and the Friends of the Library in McArthur, Ohio, will 
host a SpringFest on Saturday, April 12^th in the library's meeting room 
and on the grounds under "the big tent" that will include fun activities 
for the entire family.

Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the evening's events will include a dessert 
bake-off contest, open to all members of the community. By 5:30 p.m., 
participants need to submit a contest form with each dessert (pie, cake, 
bars, brownies, cookies, bread, roll, muffin, or candy). The form is 
available in the library or on the library's website at 
www.vintoncountypublic.lib.oh.us

2^nd , and 3^rd place winners will be held at approximately 6:30 p.m. 
Winners must be present.

After judging, desserts will be shared with the community during a 
"free" community soup and sandwich supper.

Ohio Big Bounce will provide festival-goers hours of fun in the 
"Jump-n-Slide" bounce house, while children and adults can try their 
luck at various carnival-type games to win prizes under "the big tent."

Offering short tours around the village of McArthur, John Hutchison will 
team up his draft horses and hitch them to his padded "Pioneer Equipment 
Wagon" so that 20 passengers will be able to travel in comfort for each 
ride. Throughout the evening, live music, showcasing local talent, will 
be offered under "the big tent."
