I invite you to participate<file:///C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\rjankowski\Local%20Settings\Temporary%20Internet%20Files\Content.Outlook\S398HSOU\bit.ly\1ie3KIw> in ALA's annual online Virtual Membership Meeting (VMM14) on Thursday, June 5, 2:00. - 3:30 p.m. CDT.   In this always informative and lively meeting, we plan to include:


·        An update of my presidential year

·        A recap of ALA's 2015 Strategic Plan and finances.

·        An opportunity to discuss and vote on resolutions or testimonials offered by members<http://www.ala.org/membership/vmm#procedures>. (All current ALA personal members may vote.)

·        An open forum/chat covering topics ranked by members in a poll at the beginning of the meeting. Live captioning will be provided so that all registrants can participate.


New for 2014! We'll include your images and video links that illustrate your library's community involvement or other unique and interesting things that make yours a 21st-century library. Please follow the image submission guidelines<http://www.ala.org/membership/vmm#Submitvideo> and use the online submission form<http://www.ala.org/membership/vmm/share> to submit images and video.

Registration<file:///C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\rjankowski\Local%20Settings\Temporary%20Internet%20Files\Content.Outlook\S398HSOU\bit.ly\1ie3KIw> is open now until the start of the meeting itself on June 5. A dedicated VMM14 ALA webpage<http://www.ala.org/membership/vmm> and ALA Connect group<http://connect.ala.org/members> each include all relevant documents. If you plan to submit a resolution, you'll find the guidelines there.  Resolutions must be submitted by May 29, 2014, 2 p.m. (CDT).

The meeting will end at 3:30 p.m. (CDT), but the chat session will remain open for an additional 15 minutes to allow you to wrap up any ongoing chats.
