Plan on touring the Haunted Ohio State Reformatory or the Bissman building
in Mansfield this Halloween? Know before you go!

Joe James, author of "The Ohio State Reformatory: an Overview," will speak
at the Marvin Memorial Library on Monday, October 27 at 7 pm. Join us as Joe
relays what he knows about the history of both the Ohio State Reformatory
and Bissman Building. As time allows, he will also speak about the
publishing process. A book signing for his book, "The Ohio State
Reformatory: an overview" will follow.

Joe is a lifelong Richland County resident whose book was born out of a
childhood fascination with the Reformatory that started when he joined the
Haunted Prison Experience at age 13. His passion for local history was so
intense that he published "Ohio State Reformatory: an Overview" and "Louis
Bromfield and his Malabar Farm" within only a few years after graduating
from high school. Joe's extensive research in local history led to his
current position at the Bissman building as Project Manager.

History buffs, aspiring writers, and young adults should especially enjoy
Joe's presentation.

The Marvin Memorial Library is located on 29 West Whitney Ave. in Shelby,
Ohio across the street from the Post office.
