Adult Services Assistant (Full-Time)
Main Library: Newark, Ohio

Under the general supervision of the Head of Adult Services, an Adult Services Assistant provides pro-active customer service, staffs the service desk, assists in collection development and in planning and implementation of programs and services for adults.

This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week. A job offer will be conditional upon successful completion of a background check and meeting any other preconditions of employment. The successful candidate will work a varying schedule including evenings and weekends, Monday through Saturday. The successful candidate will be required to work additional hours on Sundays at the Main Library.

Pay Rate
The pay for this position starts at $11.14/hour. This position is eligible for the library's fringe benefit package.

Employee Orientation Period
The first 6 months in this position is designated as the employee orientation period.  The successful candidate's performance will be reviewed at 3 and 6 months. If the employee's performance is not satisfactory at the end of the employee orientation period, the employee may be terminated.

Following the successful completion of the employee orientation period, the employee will be reviewed annually by June 30.
