[OPLINLIST] question about IRS forms

Our Public Relations Department is preparing signage and Media Releases about the IRS Library Program situation to “attempt” to meet the anticipated anger of the public to this development. All of our locations have large copiers connected to our systems for the expected printing demand. Despite online tax preparations, we still receive lots of people looking for forms, brochures, and booklets.

My Sunday article covers the IRS forms situation, a kinda “don’t kill the messenger” story not in those words. We don’t need this in the middle of our Levy Renewal Campaign.

As of today we have received none of our tax forms, federal or state. We have been printing off the forms that our patrons have needed but for the instruction booklets we're telling them they will need to go on line. So many of our older patrons do not have e-readers and are not computer literate.

Hello –

I’m wondering if any of you can shed some light on a statement in the recent e-mail from the IRS.

Here’s the pertinent section of the e-mail:

For this filing season, we will offer the following products:

*	Forms 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ
*
Publication 17, one reference copy for each participant (Taxpayers will be able to access Publication 17 in English and Spanish online from irs.gov/Pub17 and, new this year, it will also be available as a free e-Pub for downloading from IRS.gov and viewing
on most e-Readers and other mobile devices.)
*
Publication 4604 (EN/SP), Use the Web for IRS Tax Products & Information
*	Publication 1132, Reproducible Copies of Federal Tax Forms and Instructions
*	The TFOP Poster Package which includes:

o
Publication 1169, Need Tax Help?

o
Publication 1258, Where Should I Send This?

o
Publication 1309, Tax Forms This Way Publication

o
Publication 1725, If The Form Fits...Use It!

The fourth bullet refers to the reproducible copies of tax forms.

Have you ordered it? Have your received it?

Thanks for any information you can share.
