Pickerington Public Library Director
The Board of the Pickerington Public Library (Pickerington, OH) seeks an energetic, proactive leader with creative service ideas for ever-changing user needs. As Director, you will be expected to plan and implement an aggressive strategy for the library's offerings and facility.
The Director must be a highly visible leader in the library, its service area and consortia, and within the Ohio library community. You will be expected to form new partnerships, nurture the many which already exist, successfully utilize technological advances, and maintain a culture of excellence and teamwork. You will be involved in conducting a facility utilization review, and implementing a plan for future service outlet growth and current facility revision.
The Board will require strategic planning which shows an understanding of social trends and their influence on new service implementation and service refinement. Pickerington Public Library needs someone who is comfortable with traditional services, yet very willing to experiment with the unusual or untried. A well founded grasp of fiscal process, grant writing, levy campaigns and best practices is a must.
Qualified applicants will have 5 years relevant library experiences, with at least 2 in a management position and an MLS/MLIS. Salary range from $70k, negotiable based on experience. Excellent health and retirement benefits. Pickerington is a suburb of Columbus, Ohio and is a wonderful location for those looking for a smaller city near a metropolitan area.
