    Building Services Supervisor (Full-Time)
     Main Library: Newark, OH



Under the general supervision of the Director, the Building Services Supervisor is responsible for keeping the Main Library and Emerson R. Miller Library (including library grounds) clean, safe and in good working order according to established Library policies and procedures. The Building Services Supervisor is also responsible for the management of the Custodian/Van Driver, basic carpentry, plumbing, and preventive maintenance on HVAC system and other electrical repairs. Other Licking County Library branches, not owned by the library, may require minimal maintenance assistance.



This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week. A job offer will be conditional upon successful completion of a background check and meeting any other preconditions of employment. The successful candidate will be scheduled to work days and/or evenings, Monday through Saturday. The successful candidate may be required to work additional hours on Sundays at the Main Library.

Pay Rate
The pay for this position starts at $17.00/hour. A current employee who is already in this salary range will stay at his or her current rate.  This position is eligible for the library's fringe benefit package.



Employee Orientation Period
The first 6 months in this position is designated as the employee orientation period.  The successful candidate's performance will be reviewed at 3 and 6 months. If the employee's performance is not satisfactory at the end of the employee orientation period, the employee may be terminated.

Following the successful completion of the employee orientation period, the employee will be reviewed annually by June 30.
