Pioneer Girl: The Annotated Autobiography of Laura Ingalls Wilder



Pamela Smith Hill will share her experience annotating the never-before-published autobiography Pioneer Girl: The Annotated Autobiography by beloved children's author Laura Ingalls Wilder on Monday, April 4 at 7 p.m. at the Hudson Library & Historical Society. Smith will give context and provide new insights on Wilder's pioneer life experiences that inspired the classic Little House on the Prairie series.



Pamela Smith Hill is the award-winning author of Laura Ingalls Wilder: A Writer's Life<http://sdshspress.com/index.php?&id=179&action=912> and three young adult novels. She grew up in the Missouri Ozarks, forty miles from Laura Ingalls Wilder's Rocky Ridge Farm, and moved to South Dakota, where she launched her professional writing career. She has taught creative and professional writing at universities in Oregon, Washington, and Colorado. She lives in Portland, Oregon, where she continues to teach and write.
