Join Bexley Public Library on Friday, April 28 at the Bexley High School
Schottenstein Theatre for an evening with National Book Award-winning
author Colson Whitehead. He will discuss his acclaimed novel,* The
Underground Railroad*, a beautiful and heartbreaking story following Cora
as she makes her escape from slavery and pursues freedom along a reimagined
Underground Railroad.

A Q&A, moderated by Fred Andrle, will follow.

Guests will have the opportunity to have a book signed by Colson
Whiteheadand and will be released by row from front to back for the signing.

Mr. Whitehead's books, including *The Underground Railroad*, will be
available for sale before and after his presentation courtesy of Gramercy
Books.

Colson Whitehead is the featured author for the 2017 Bexley Community
Author Series, a signature program of Bexley Public Library aimed at
bringing authors of significance to Bexley to share their writings and
insights. It is an opportunity to bring topical, influential voices that
inspire reading, and further the Library’s mission to enlighten, engage,
and inspire a community of lifelong learners.
