The Centerburg Public Library is looking for a Library Manager.  Must be a dependable and organized individual with critical thinking skills to administer the operation of a small community public library.


In providing library services to 3 townships (population 6,100) with 4,691 patrons, you would work with the public, 8 staff and the Board of Trustees in developing services and programming, fiscal planning and monitoring, collection development, MLS systems management, public relations, reports, inventory management, building maintenance, follow library trends and legislation, collaborate with outside organizations and other duties as assigned by the Board.


Needs leadership, administrative, communication and technology skills plus management skills in personnel, fiscal and resources;  understanding of discretion and confidentiality.  Working with the Board, develop focus and programming that will reflect the use of technology matched with community needs.


Position reports to the Board of Trustees.  Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus library experience required.  Knowledge of building projects a plus.
