[OPLINLIST] Local Author Collections

Hello,
 
We are looking at our local author collection and how it is currently arranged.  We currently have a non-circulating collection in our local history room, which includes fiction, non-fiction and children's books.  In addition to this there is a smaller collection that circulates out with the main collection.
 
I was wondering how you handle your local author collections.  Is it non-circulating? Where is the collection kept?  etc.
