The State Library of Ohio is hosting a free workshop and a webinar on STEM and Space Science for library staff to prepare for the Summer Reading Program and beyond.



  The workshop will take place on May 29-30, 2019, at the State Library of Ohio



The workshop will begin on May 29 at 1pm, with a Night Sky Viewing that evening (weather permitting). The workshop will continue from 9am- 3pm on May 30. The workshop will include lunch on both days and snacks; dinner will not be provided. Overnight lodging will not be provided, however, participants whose residence and employing library are located more than 45 miles away from the State Library of Ohio will be eligible to apply for an IMLS grant on behalf of their library on completion of the training to help offset travel expenses. Grant funds will be distributed directly to the libraries per IMLS guidelines. In order to meet their requirements for travel to Ohio, we need to fill a few more spaces in the workshop. Now is the time to recruit colleagues from your libraries, and other libraries across the state, so we can make sure to hear from these space science experts. We will be accepting applications until May 15, or until the workshop and the waitlist are full.
