Meet up with other teen services specialists, educators, and youth advocates for a first-rate professional development experience in Ohio's first capital. At the eighth annual Take Five event, attendees will converse and collaborate with peers, allies, and teens to explore creative approaches, address tough topics in constructive ways, and have fun, because we're all in this together!

Learn about trauma informed care for teens and adults with Misty Cole from Hopewell Health, enjoy a high-energy spin on creativity in the workplace with Molly LaBadie from Delaware County District Library, and embrace mindfulness and attention with mindful awareness coach Daron Larson. Small-group discussion; hands-on crafts, tech toys and other activities; and teen voices will complete your full day of discovery, recharge, and inspiration.

Registration for Take 5 is only $25/person. Morning and afternoon refreshments and a BBQ lunch (vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free options available) are included.

Bonus: arrive early and enjoy a nature walk and game night on Thursday evening, May 2, with other Take 5 attendees. The Christopher Inn & Suites in Chillicothe is offering a special room rate of only $94 (plus tax). Room reservation information is on the registration form. Please note that lodging, food and other costs incurred on Thursday are not included in the $25 registration fee and are the responsibility of the attendee.

Take 5 is a day of dialogue and discovery for public library teen and youth services specialists, school librarians, and other youth advocates. Take 5 is a peer-to-peer event, planned and produced by collaborating librarians with support from host libraries. Take 5 is also supported by the State Library of Ohio with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
