A Note from the Executive Director
[https://neo-rls.org/photos/59194_02102020090245.jpg]We are always listening to what our members tell us they want and need for their professional development and we try to respond as quickly as we can. We keep up-to-date on different and changing learning styles and use that information to modify what we are doing and to offer new opportunities for learning. Our Tapas Learning video series is a result of listening and recognizing the fact that sometimes you just want a quick introduction to a new idea or you want to watch something at your convenience in order to jumpstart your own thinking. Thanks to our members we have received a nice selection of short videos (3-20 minutes in length) and have created a webpage <http://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=38523229&nr=5140295021> from which they can be accessed on demand. We will be adding to them continually and welcome ideas and videos from all of you. We also recognize that sometimes there are topics that need more time invested than is possible in an hour-long webinar or even in a full-day workshop. That is why we are in the process of creating a longer term class which will focus on professional writing skills. The class will debut in 2021. By taking a multi-pronged approach to continuing education and adding these options to our menu of webinars, hands-on workshops and networking events, we hope to offer you an approachable, convenient and relevant opportunity to hone and enhance your skills and develop your connections with colleagues. If you have ideas for a Tapas Learning video, please contact Holly Klingler <http://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=38524451&nr=5140295021> . If you have other ideas for learning opportunities, let me <http://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=38525673&nr=5140295021> know. I look forward to hearing from you. Together we are maximizing library potential! Have a good week and stay well!
