Sr. Associate – Circulation

24 Hour Position


QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a library required.  Experience with Circulation Operations in a library setting required. Supervisory experience preferred.  Experience with Windows-based OS including Word and Excel.  Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions.  Must have the ability to work effectively and communicate with a wide variety of co-workers and members of the general public.  Ability to be tactful and customer-oriented when handling patron complaints   Must be self-motivated, be courteous and possess tact and teamwork skills.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Manager of Circulation Services, this position supervises Circulation staff on required shifts,  provides excellent customer service in charging out and discharging all library materials borrowed by patrons, as well as directing them to the appropriate resources within the Library.  Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Resolves customer complaints and accepts customer suggestions.  Processes passport requests.
HOURS
24 Hours per week.  Daytime, Evening and Weekend Hours Required
