A Note from the Executive Director

We are very happy to be partnering with Amy Wong, President, and Sara Lundenberger, Director, Nonprofit Counseling, of Dot Org Solutions <https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=52000667&nr=5775395305> , in order to bring you a series of five webinars about the art of fundraising.  Amy and Sara strongly believe that the work done by nonprofits in our communities, makes them better places to live, work and raise families.   As such, they are excited to team up with us to provide the libraries in our region with information on how to do more in terms of successful fundraising.  First up on October 26 th is Attracting, Engaging and Retaining Donors <https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=51940789&nr=5775395305> .  On November 30th we will be working on Setting Your Fundraising Systems Up for Success <https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=52001889&nr=5775395305> .  We will ring in the New Year on January 19th <https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=52003111&nr=5775395305> by hearing about how you actually ask for money, turning that tricky and oftentimes, awkward request into a meaningful communication.  On February 16 th, join us for Planned Giving Basics:  What is Planned Giving and Why it Should be a Part of Every Fundraising Program. <https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=52004333&nr=5775395305>   Lastly, on March 16th we will get tips on how to reach through the everyday noise and distractions in Developing Effective Marketing Strategies and Compelling Messages to Attract, Engage and Retain Donors <https://mms.neo-rls.org/ct.php?lid=52005555&nr=5775395305> .  Join us for one, join us for all five!  Whether you are a special library within a larger organization, a library without a foundation, a library with a foundation, or a library routinely partnering with your organization's development team, there will be information presented that will help you elevate your fundraising efforts. CODA, ONLINE REPORTING TOOL FOR SALARY SURVEY, IS AVAILABLE
Information on CODA, the online reporting tool that accompanies the print version of the Statewide Salary Survey, is now available to all libraries that have purchased the Salary Survey.  CODA enables the creation of multi-cut reports, comparison to specific libraries and comparison to libraries in a more closely defined revenue range.  Information including login and instructions were sent to libraries on Tuesday, August 17 th. Sustainable Thinking: What the World Needs Now with Rebekkah Smith Aldrich. Calling all health consumers! Did you know that web-based health information may not be of good quality and could mislead your decisions about health? That's where the Fuld Institute for EBP in The Ohio State University College of Nursing comes in.

The Ohio Association of Foodbanks and The Center for Community Solutions are collaborating to collect online survey responses from Ohio families and households related to the pandemic, how it impacted them, and what federal recovery may have helped them.

They would greatly appreciate your help sharing their "What has Helped During the Pandemic?" survey widely.
