Afternoon all,
Come see a great author and support our Friend of Marion Public Library group.
Thanks!
Author Jane Smiley will visit Marion, Ohio on Friday, October 18 for the 8th Annual Speaking Volumes event held in Marion Public Library. Speaking Volumes is a fundraising event coordinated by the BookMarks, a separate nonprofit organization devoted to supporting Marion Public Library. The volunteer-run group raises money through a variety of events, including an annual book sale held at the Library. All proceeds go to support the operations of the Marion Public Library.
Tickets to this Speaking Volumes event are on sale, available at Marion Public Library, in the BookMarket and on the BookMarks' website at MarionOHBookMarks.org<https://www.marionohbookmarks.org/>. A $75 ticket includes heavy hors d'oeuvres during an exclusive mingle hour with Smiley starting at 6:00 pm, just prior to the program at 7:00 pm. A $30 ticket can be purchased for just the program and includes dessert. There will be a cash bar available. Copies of select Jane Smiley titles are on sale now.
