Mary,

We have a "Free" shelf for our discarded magazines, etc. and we also use it for audio books that don't sell at book sales. They're not as popular, but people do take them (it's hard to resist free stuff!). Sometimes our Friends group or Outreach specialist will take a box for area nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc. as some of those folks still like CDs. If we really can't get rid of them or they're in bad shape, the discs are either used for crafts or set aside to be recycled (Accurate IT in Columbus will take CD/DVD media, other electronics recycling facilities may as well).
