Network Services Customer Update - January 9, 2004


Scheduled Maintenance:

Tuesday, January 13, 3:00 - 6:00 a.m.

ITSD network engineers will be making minor routing configuration changes
on two Internet border routers to accommodate a new BGP customer.  No
outage is expected.

Quest Communications will be unfolding fiber between the State of Ohio
Computer Center and the Rhodes State Office Tower.  No outage is expected.

Tuesday, January 20, 3:00 - 6:00 a.m.

ITSD network engineers will be upgrading software on ITSD Enterprise core
routers at the State of Ohio Computer Center and Rhodes State Office Tower.
This work will affect connectivity from all ITSD customers to all
mainframes and servers in the ITSD Enterprise environment.  Connectivity
between ITSD desktops, mainframes and servers within the environment, will
be affected as well.  The actual duration of the outage will be up to the
full maintenance window.  This software upgrade is necessary to correct
minor bugs in the router software as well as add new functionality.

None.
