Thanks for the InfoWeek article, Chad. Lane PL, like several other libraries
in Ohio, uses the Premier edition (paid edition) of GAFYD, which offers a
different TOS:

http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/terms/premier_terms.html<%20http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/terms/premier_terms.html>

To directly quote one of the article's COMMENTS:

*The terms of service referenced in this article are for the free Google
services. If you're a business, you're not using that - you're using Google
Apps Premier Edition, which has significantly different terms of service:

http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/terms/premier_terms.html

Under those terms, Google can't just arbitrarily stop providing access to
your data. In that context, this article is a bit silly and alarmist.

The author birngs up important points to consider, and I don't necessarily
think the article is "a bit silly and alarmist". I do find a lot of FUD
about GoogleApps and cloud computing in general that should be read
critically. (The same holds true going the other direction* promoting* cloud
computing, of course.)
