[OPLINTECH] GCPL: Windows 8 impressions?

Anyone have any first impressions about Windows 8?
May first impression about a month ago was that I needed a tablet or at least a touch screen.
My impression over the weekend is that I'm not really getting the full experience on a typical patron desktop.
My final impression is that I'll be well retired and gone before I see what is obviously an ARM based OS on a public desktop.
Anyone else have any impressions?
