Hi Fred,
We've been using 3M Microtouch touchscreens (17" M1700SS and 15" M1500SS). Some are leftover from 3M 9410-series Selfchecks which we installed around 2008. In 2012, we converted the Selfchecks to use some open source software but continued buying 3M touchscreens as needed. They are sturdy, have built-in speakers, and good touch response. Last time I looked, they did not have driver support in Linux.
We are in the process of replacing all these with new selfcheck units in the next 6 months, so we will have a sizeable surplus in the near future.
Thanks,
Josh

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Touchscreen monitors
Was wondering if any libraries have touchscreen monitors for your self-check or other types of setups, what brand do you use and why? I was looking at the ELO series of monitors, but due to the cost I'm not sure we will be going with these. I can't imagine paying $400-$500 for just a touchscreen monitor. Thoughts?
Thanks again,
Fred Miller Jr.
