Kevin,
I've been having the same issue with our Windows 7 machines for awhile now.
Sometime the Windows Update FixIt has worked but not always. I'm finding
that it is downloading the updates and installing, it just doesn't seem to
move on. I would have figured that Windows would have fixed their update
utility by now. So I give the machines a limited amount of time (1 hour
tops) and restart. They have always shown that they are updated.
I'm not having the issue on the machines that are updated via a Deep Freeze
task. In that case updates are cached and pushed to the machine.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Windows update
Is anyone else having issues with Windows updates? We have Lab computers
that I have to manually check for Windows updates and they will stay on
Checking for updates for 4-5 hours. They are all Windows 7 computers. I
have checked all the KB articles that seem to help others and those patches
have already been installed. I have also tried the Windows update repair
and deleted the Windows update folders but nothing seems to work.
Does anybody have any ideas? Maybe Microsoft is trying to push people to
Windows 10.
