This has been confirmed. Avast is no longer providing free endpoint licenses for EDU. If you are using Avast now, you will not be able to renew for free when your license expires.

Hi Amy,

Avast has revamped its pricing model. We no longer provide Free endpoint licences. Avast now offers paid EDU licences that include Free technical support.

Your EDU Rep, Ross Gauthier, will be happy to assist with pricing and a quote. Ross will reach out to you to discuss renewing your Avast license.
