We've been going with the strategy of repurposing ancient, all-but-useless
computers with free Porteus Kiosk installed. It's a simple solution and
works quite well. Using tablets as kiosks does provide a clean/small
footprint solution, though. So that definitely has its advantages too,
albeit at the cost of more hardware expense and IT time.
