[OPLINTECH] Kiosk using Mobile Staff Kiosk Mode

We are currently using two different methods for self checkout kiosks. One
is a Surface tablet, which works fine but does not have
printing capabilities. The other is an iPad. We have been having issues
with the iPad setup. Is anyone using an iPad, but not using the Socket
scanner that is recommended by SEO? We purchased a lightning adapter with
two USB ports and have a USB scanner connected. The issue we are running
into is that after a while, it's almost like the connection to that adapter
turns off and the scanner does not work. We have to get out of the Mobile
Staff app and get back into it or unplug the adapter to make the scanner
work again. I guess I'm just curious if anyone else has tried going a
cheaper route with the scanner as well and if you are having the same
issue. We did end up ordering the Star receipt printer instead of going a
cheaper route on that, but we are also having issues with getting receipts
to print as well. If anyone has a good working setup using Mobile Staff on
and iPad, I'd definitely like to chat about your setup to see if we can
iron out our issues.
