Have you looked into using openkiosk ?
https://openkiosk.mozdevgroup.com/
I use it with Debian Linux and old PC hardware that isn't compatible to run Windows 11.  There are downloads for Windows, OSX, and Linux, including Debian packages for the raspberry pi.

It doesn't answer your question with chrome in kiosk mode running on a raspberry pi, but I hope it will help !

I am looking to run our catalog computers on a raspberry pi using Chromium in Kiosk mode with Full Page OS, which i have set up and working, however, some of the links on the catalog page would require a back button to get out of (eg. Get a library card), or try to open a new window (Hoopla). Anyone else running their catalogs this way and do you have a good solution for these issues?
